Official Deacon Nominations and Upcoming Vote

Tadd Anderson   -

Hub City Church Family,

I wanted to take a moment to update you on our next steps regarding the deacon nomination process we’ve been working through.

This past Sunday, at the conclusion of our service, our elders officially nominated the following men to serve as our church’s first deacons:

• Jacob Votos – Facilities

• Dan Williams – Outreach

• Randy Ells – Security/Event Logistics

• Josh Davidson – Worship

• David Snelling – Production

Each of these men has been nominated to serve in a specific area of ministry where we believe their gifts and passions can best serve the needs of the church. As you may already know, some of them are already practically fulfilling these roles, while others will be stepping into these areas for the first time, as we believe they are well-suited for the ministry assigned to them.

Since we believe, based on Acts 6, that the most biblical approach to deacons is a role- or task-oriented approach, our goal is to have deacons serving in areas of ministry that have the greatest need for attention to practical matters, allowing our elders to focus on prayerful oversight and shepherding.

With that said, we will be holding a vote to formally install these men as deacons during our Business Meeting this coming Sunday, September 29th, immediately following the service.

If you have any questions or concerns about the men we’ve nominated, we encourage you to reach out to one of the elders before Sunday. We want to ensure that all members are fully informed and confident as we proceed.

We are excited to take this important step as a church body, and we ask for your continued prayers for these men as they prepare to step into these roles of service. We also strongly encourage you to be present and involved in this wonderful moment of growth for us as a young church, striving to align ourselves more and more with the New Testament model!

In Christ,
