1 John | A Series About Abiding in Christ – Fellowship & Joy (1:1-4)

1 John 1:1-4

John 1:1-3,14 // John 20:19-20,26-27

There is a real, objective, historical and yet eternal Jesus who has made Himself knowable through the Holy Spirit-inspired words of His Apostles.

“Faith is only as good as the One in whom it is invested.” — Lee Strobel

Ref. Hebrews 13:8 // Malachi 3:6

Jesus’ message of eternal life is not merely a message of punishment avoided but of fellowship with God and His covenant people restored.

Genuine fellowship with God requires relational intimacy and thus cannot be divorced from His single authoritative source of self-revelation.

2 John 9

Ultimate joy is found in not only having but sharing grace-secured fellowship with others!

John 15:11 // 1 Thessalonians 2:19-20 // 3 John 1:4
