Jesus is Everything | Jesus is Savior

Luke 19:1-10

We need a Savior because:

Our sin gets us hopelessly lost, spiritually.

Romans 1:21-22, 28, 3:10-12 // Ephesians 2:1-3

In our sin, we don’t deserve to have fellowship with God.

Ezekiel 18:4

Jesus is the perfect Savior because: 

He pursues sinners when they are far from Him.

Luke 15:4-7

His mercy and kindness leads us to repentance.

Matthew 9:9-13 

“If the death of Christ on the cross is the true meaning of the Incarnation, then there is no gospel without the cross. [The birth of Christ] by itself is no gospel. The life of Christ is no gospel. Even the resurrection, important as it is in the total scheme of things, is no gospel by itself. Salvation looks like:

Genuine effort given to seeing Jesus, regardless of how people may see us.

Joyful reception of Jesus into one’s life on His terms.

Intimate time spent with Jesus that leads to ongoing repentance and change.
