Daniel: Faithfulness in Babylon | We Know How the Story Ends (10-12)

“Daniel concludes the record of his terrifying visions and dreams on a note of joy, pointing to the coming of Christ’s eternal reign of glory… Whoever wants to study them profitably dare not focus his attention on the details of the visions and dreams, but seek comfort in the Savior Jesus Christ whom they portray and in the deliverance he brings from sin and its misery.” — Martin Luther

(Daniel 10:1-21)

Ephesians 6:10-20

(Daniel 11:32-36)

A great consolation to believers in the midst of tribulation is two-fold: It will unwittingly aid their sanctification and it will go no further than God allows.

Job 1:6-12 // Genesis 50:20

(Daniel 12:1-13)

The concluding implication of Daniel is this: Live to shine for Christ like you have nothing to lose in this world because in the end, you won’t!

Galatians 2:20 // Philippians 1:21-23
